Email [email protected] and we'll get back to you, usually within a few days. It helps if you include:
- Your device (for example, iPhone 15 or iPad Air)
- Your iOS or iPadOS version (Settings › General › About)
- The Sursum version (on Sursum's App Store page, under Version History)
- What happened, and what you expected to happen
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. Sursum has no sign-up or login. If you're signed in to iCloud on your device, your prayer list syncs automatically.
How do I get my prayer list on my iPhone and my iPad?
Sign in to the same Apple Account on both devices and make sure iCloud is on for Sursum: Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Saved to iCloud (or Apps Using iCloud), then turn on Sursum. Changes usually show up within a few moments. If Sursum's settings show "iCloud sync unavailable", check that you're signed in to iCloud.
What's the difference between "prayed" and "answered"?
Prayed means you prayed for it today, and the request stays on your list so you can keep praying, like praying every week for a friend going through treatment. Answered means the prayer has been answered. The request moves out of your active list and into your answered archive, where you can look back on it.
I marked something prayed by mistake.
Tap the circle next to the request again, and it goes back to not prayed for today.
How do schedules work?
A schedule is a set of requests and people that show up on Today on the days you pick. For example, you could pray for family on Sundays and for your church on Wednesdays. Each schedule has one of two modes:
- Everything: shows every request on the schedule each time it comes around.
- Rotate: shows one request each time the schedule comes around, working through the list in order. This works well for long lists.
Why aren't reminders showing up?
Make sure notifications are allowed for Sursum in Settings › Notifications › Sursum, and that reminders are on in Sursum's own settings. Also check that a Focus mode isn't silencing them. iOS limits how many reminders an app can schedule at once, so if you have a lot of schedules and deadlines, Sursum schedules the soonest ones first.
Can I keep names off my lock screen?
Yes. In Sursum's settings, turn off Show names and details in notifications. Reminders will then use general wording instead of names or request text.
How do I bring in birthdays from Contacts?
Open a person's profile and link them to a contact, or import several people at once from the People tab. Sursum asks for Contacts access the first time you do this. It reads only the contacts you choose. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I use Siri?
Yes. Try "Add a prayer request in Sursum", "Pray for Sarah in Sursum", or "Open Sursum to pray." You'll also find these actions in the Shortcuts app.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete any request, person, note, or schedule inside the app. To remove everything, delete the app, then delete Sursum's iCloud data in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage. We don't keep a copy of your data on any server.
Is Sursum on Mac or Apple Watch?
Not yet. Sursum is currently available for iPhone and iPad.
